Description

A vintage Japanese tradtional Togatta style kokeshi. Togatta is a historical hot spring in the Miyagi prefecture. This kokeshi features the blocked head typical of the Togatta style, with divided bangs, side tufts arched double lidded eyes and a ware-bana split nose. Her body is decorated with a chrysanthemum design and features rokuro lines on the shoulders and hem. Signed and stamped by the artist on the base.
