Printmaker and book artist Tuula Moilanen is widely known as an expert in Japanese woodblock printmaking (mokuhanga) and traditional papermaking. Tuula lived in Kyoto, Japan over 20 years, during which time she became familiar with Japanese culture and arts. She moved back to Finland in 2012, and currently lives and works in Helsinki. In her art works Tuula mainly uses the Japanese woodblock printing technique, but also sometimes paints with acrylics and pastels.
