SPRING RACING CARNIVAL WEARABLE IKEBANA - Create a stunning wearable ikebana fascinator or statement piece to enhance your track side outfit.

On Sunday 28th October award winning flower designer Shoso Shimbo will host a 2 hour long Ikebana workshop at Kazari + Ziguzagu.

Learn how to make a stunning wearable flower arrangement inspired by a 500 year old tradition, just in time for the 2018 Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival. Shoso Shimbo is of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana and will discuss the history and culture of Ikebana, as well as the basic principles.

Where: Kazari + Ziguzagu shop, 450 Malvern Road, Prahran VIC 3181

When: Sunday 28th October, 10am-12pm

Cost: $85 per person (Max 20 participants)

Provided:

- Discounts for Ikebana related products

- All utensils and flowers to create an Ikebana masterpiece

Shoso Shimbo PhD is a certified teacher of Ikebana and has over 20 years experience in Ikebana. Shoso was selected by Belle magazine as one of six “Australia’s top floral designers” and has won multiple awards including the Gold Award at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show. His works were selected for the prestigious publication, International Floral Art (Stichting Kunstboek)

Shoso has an MA in Japanese Studies, a Master of Fine Art and PhD in Education. He is also qualified as a garden designer. He is a directer of International Society of Ikebana Studies and he teaches Japanese Aesthetics: From Flower Arrangements to Contemporary Art at RMIT.

If you can't attend, please give 24 hours notice so your place can be offered to someone else.

At checkout select the ‘Click and Collect’ shipping method. You will be contacted by a Kazari + Ziguzagu team member who will advise when you can collect your items. Items will be ready for collection within 1 business day and must be collected within 5 business days unless otherwise arranged.

Charges apply for storage beyond the initial period. You may also decide to use the Click and Collect service if you have an existing/preferred carrier for interstate and international shipping.

Shipping

We can ship orders worldwide. Kazari uses competitive and reliable shipping services including but not limited to Australia Post, DHL and local couriers and carriers, as well as art and antique specific interstate and international carriers.

Shipping can be added at checkout for Domestic deliveries (Australia).

Additional insurance may be required as standard insurance may not be sufficient to cover loss or damage of fragile or expensive items.
