Description

A rare lacquered Kuruma Dansu, wheeled storage chest. It has been made almost entirely from zelkova wood with paulownia drawer linings. It has top and bottom sliding doors, a shelf in the upper half and drawers in the lower half with iron hardware.

Edo period, first half of the 19th century.
