This refined Japanese Kannon Biraki chest-on-chest is a beautiful example of traditional cabinetry, distinguished by its twin-opening doors—a feature from which the name "Kannon Biraki" (meaning “Kannon-style opening”) is derived. Crafted from lightweight yet durable paulownia wood, this chest was designed to protect garments and precious belongings, with excellent natural resistance to humidity and insects.
