This antique Japanese 2-panel screen from the Meiji period features a beautiful sumi-e ink painting of bamboo on silk, surrounded by an elegant brocade border. The bamboo, often a symbol of strength and resilience in Japanese art, is depicted in a traditional and minimalist style, showcasing the fluidity and subtlety of sumi-e (Japanese ink painting).
