Japanese antique furniture embodies contemporary form, function and versatility a two-piece chest can be used as a tall boy, bedside cabinets, side-by-side or for general storage in two different rooms. Because of their age and design they work perfectly to warm up a cooler contemporary environment and complement mid-century and modern Scandinavian furniture. A vintage or antique Japanese 2-piece tansu or chest-on-chest are the perfect storage solution; sustainable and functional, they have already stood the test of time.

Japanese tansu are unique, no two are ever exactly the same and whilst they can be up to 150 years old theyre still quite contemporary in appearance. These tansu are lightweight, easy to move with quality iron handles and have a storage capacity of between 180 and 240 litres. Our stock is hand selected in Japan and lovingly restored in house at our warehouse.
