How to Restore Japanese Furniture - a demonstration

Our specialist restorer has been working with Japanese antiques for more than 25 years. Robbie will run through some of the basic principles of restoring Japanese furniture using a variety of traditional and contemporary methods whilst demonstrating on a selected piece.  You will have the opportunity to ask questions and take notes throughout the demonstration. We are also offering all participants the chance to book a one hour one-on-one consultation in the week following the demonstration for more detailed advice on how to restore you particular item of furniture at an additional cost of $80. This demonstration will be taking place just after our new shipment from Japan arrives so you will have first pick of the latest treasures.

Where157-163 Montague St, South Melbourne, VIC 3205 

When: Sunday 15th September, 10am - 1pm

Cost: $55 per person (max 6 people)

Provided:

- 20% discount on unrestored antique Japanese furniture

- Tea and coffee

- Restoration notes 

What to bring:

- Warm casual clothes (our warehouse can be a little chilly in winter)

- Notebook and pen or smart device for taking notes

Click and Collect

At checkout select the ‘Click and Collect’ shipping method. You will be contacted by a Kazari + Ziguzagu team member who will advise when you can collect your items. Items will be ready for collection within 1 business day and must be collected within 5 business days unless otherwise arranged.

Charges apply for storage beyond the initial period. You may also decide to use the Click and Collect service if you have an existing/preferred carrier for interstate and international shipping.

Shipping

We can ship orders worldwide. Kazari + Ziguzagu uses competitive and reliable shipping services including but not limited to Auspost, DHL and local couriers and carriers, as well as art and antique specific interstate and international carriers.

Shipping can be added at checkout for Domestic deliveries (Australia).

Additional insurance may be required as standard insurance may not be sufficient to cover loss or damage of fragile or expensive items.
