Kazari = to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary
Kazari was created in the late 70s by Robert Joyce and Jo Maindonald who fell in love with Japan and the Japanese aesthetic, where simplicity of design is evident in the most utilitarian objects, creating works of beauty; form and function is fundamental to elegant design. Together Robert and Jo have made Kazari one of today's most highly regarded sources of authentic Japanese antiques, furniture and decorative arts.
Kazari has been recognised as having one of Australia's most comprehensive and collectable ranges of Japanese antiques and art, many pieces almost impossible to find in Japan today. Kazari has now 'introduced' 'Japandi', a collection of contemporary furniture that is a fusion of traditional Japanese and the Scandinavian love of purity of line with functional beauty.
